TOKYO FASHION WEEK 2014

During a 2014 Japan Fashion Week, a cafe, restaurant and bar, during the daytime in the Spiral Hall located in Aoyama, Tokyo, Japan are tuned into a fashion runway. The key feature of the hall is a prominent ramp spirals around the circular open space, hence its name. Taking advantages of this circular ramp feature becoming a standing area for guests, experiencing the fashion show from a different point of view.

The spacious round space platform in the middle of the hall is turned into a circular stage for live bands during the show and an unconditional runway.

Since the new collection concept features ‘rock n roll’ and 80’s culture, the lighting design also follows the ‘rock n roll’ notion of, ergo lighting heightened the mood and beats of the music painting the same feelings, reinforcing the performance of the live band through dynamics of bright colors and beams.
